DoD Scientists and Researchers Earn High Honors

Today, President Obama named 102 scientists and researchers as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest honor bestowed by the United States Government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers.

Diversity and Inclusion is a Priority in the DoD

The Department of Defense (DOD) has multiple approaches that involve strategic methods in which they promote diversity and inclusion in their workforce. Many of the implicit individual bias targeted programs are addressed in the DOD’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Strategic Plan 2012- 2017(1), which emphasizes the President’s Executive Order 13583--directing Executive Departments to develop and implement D&I strategies in human resource components.
